Call for papers
Elevate your research and gain exposure in the field of structural health monitoring. Submit your paper abstract for consideration, and if accepted, you’ll have the opportunity to submit your paper for presentation.
Accepted paper authors will be granted the chance to present their work for attendees either in person or virtually online.
abstract-only participation
CSHM-9 workshop Organizing Committee has decided to allow abstract-only participation for authors who don’t want their papers included in the workshop proceedings. If you have an accepted abstract, please let the organizing committee know of your preferred mode of participation, i.e. full paper or abstract only, by 19 January 2024.
Themes and Topics
“SHM supported seismic-resilient design of Infrastructures” is the main theme of the workshop. The technical program includes five structured sessions, keynote lectures from outstanding experts in the field, and special sessions on expert knowledge in SHM from around the world.
Within the main theme of the Workshop, paper papers referring to the following relevant topics are strongly encouraged:
- New Seismic Design Code Applications
- Historic Buildings Retrofitting Against Seismic
- State of Seismic Damage Detection/Prediction Techniques
- SHM in Earthquake Prone Regions
- Case Studies Applications (Panel discussion workshop)
The Proceedings will be published on Lecture Notes in Civil Engineering (Springer) and indexed in Scopus and WoS. Selected papers will be invited for submit full papers which will be peer reviewed and published in the Journal of Civil Structural Health Monitoring (CSHM).
Rules and Guidelines
Abstract Submission:
- Maximum one-page, single spaced abstract including paper title, name and affiliation of all authors and contact details (email, phone) of the presenting author.
- No specific formatting is required for the abstract.
- Acceptable file formats for submission: Word (.doc, .docx) and PDF (.pdf).
- If your abstract is accepted, you will proceed to the next phase of the submission process.
Paper Submission:
- The paper should be minimum 6 pages.
- Ensure your submission adheres to our guidelines by downloading the provided paper template.
- Acceptable file formats for submission: Word (.doc, .docx) and PDF (.pdf).
Similarity Check:
- All submissions, both abstracts and full papers, will undergo a similarity check.
- Please ensure that your work is original and properly cited to avoid plagiarism.
